For me as an artist, the city is a symbol where all reflections, experiences, and presumptions can be placed. As well as strong emotions, experienced identifications with cities control ways that the past affects the present or directly influences the future. Therefore, I create imaginary maps of different cities based upon precise places, focusing on the phenomenon of “The Tower” through the history of art and civilization. I named this body of work Urban Utopia. The name by itself is not a mere coincidence but a result of an almost twenty year process of creating art forms, and way of living as well.
