A painter in love with light, beauty, good and just, Armelle Bastide D’Izard paints life. From her ladies in hats, to her farmers market scenes and landscapes of South of France, all her paintings vibrate.

In her abstractions, she paints the world from within, bringing an initiatory journey to a hedonistic and positive spirituality. It is therefore with lightness that she handles her knives in soft and bright colors, and uses contrast to impress on colors and our hearts.

Mixtures of acrylic, oil and varnish, these paintings combine symbolism, abstract and impressionism: everything opens up to become a hymn for grace, happiness and hope.

Oscillating between techniques in the past has led me to combine traditional art with more modern techniques, creating the mixed media found today in my artwork. Art being the freedom of expression of the soul, I hope to express my profound and intense nature by the contrasts and intensity of my colors. I wish to let transpire femininity and softness through the emotions created by my subjects. Hopefully, the beauty and harmony evoked will permit the viewers to connect to their inner selves, creating this magical moment of being touched by a painting. Enjoy!
