    “EXTRAORDINARY JUBILEE”
A SEASON OF REFLECTION AND MERCY
    THURSDAY, APRIL 7, 2016– SUNDAY, APRIL 9, 2017

New York, NY (March 30, 2016) THE SHEEN CENTER FOR THOUGHT & CULTURE (www.SheenCenter.org) today announced an eclectic lineup of distinguished artists and exhibits that will be featured in the Sheen Center Art Gallery, located at 18 Bleecker Street. This art season opens in the midst of the “Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy,” during which Pope Francis has called upon people to “give comfort to every man and every woman of our time.” The new season will run from April 7, 2016 through April 9, 2017. There will be an opening reception, free and open to the public, on April 7 at 6pm-8pm at the Sheen Center Art Gallery.

Opening the season is Collective Memories (April 7 – May 29), an exhibition by mixed-media artists Peter and Janet Williams, in which they use sculpture alternately to protect, affirm, deconstruct, and re-contextualize their memories.
